Book Reviews by my Students
My classes will be writing book reviews this week on Edmodo. I would like to post some of them onto my blog and have other students comment on them. I want the Spartans to start reading even more! Reading opens all kinds of windows into new places, people, things, ideas and knowledge.
I read a book called, Tears of a Tiger", by Sharon M. Draper. This book is about four teenagers that were drinking and driving after a basketball game. One of the teen died (Robbie) because the one driving was drinking with any control. So the car crashed into a wall and Robbie died because his foot got stuck through the window shield. After the death of Robbie, Andy blames himself for Robbie's death and cannot get past through guilt and pain. I really liked the book because it teaches you not to drink and drive. I would recommend this book to someone else because it teaches you a lot of lessons.

I read a book called "The Mouse Marathon".The author is Geronimo Stilton. This book is about a mouse not knowing he's in a marathon.he has a trainer called Champ Strongpaws. He trains Stilton but sometime Stilton is lazy and he thinks some stuff are not fair because he can't eat his cheddar cheese.I love this book so much and i would recommend this book to some one else.I would because i know my friends would enjoy it.It has lot's of funny things in it and it can teach you that when your running a marathon it's not just about winning it's about helping other mouses/people out.

Ms. Migliore told me about this book a couple of months ago and said it is so good, yet disturbing. Of course I had to go get it!! And yes, I got it from the library, not a bookstore. She was right! It was so good. It is a story about kids who at a certain age become unwound, or have to give up parts of their bodies so other people can use them to become stronger, smarter, more athletic or just get healthier. But what happens to the kids who get unwound? Yikes. Loved it.
This reading started my fixation with the author Neal Shusterman. I am reading Dreadlocks to my classes and reading the sequel to this which is call Unholy. If you like kinda creepy books, check this out.
A little video of me and my other-than-reading passion
My buddy Santo and my wonderful trainer Rita Brown!
